Is your brass creation oxidized by time or dirty from all the little hands that have come to look at it?
Don't panic, there are solutions to restore its shine! You can imagine that I have a certain amount of brass in the workshop, so I'm going for the most efficient and quickest for me, the Miror.
(No partnership, I'm talking about what I use in the workshop)
Miror has been an essential household product since the beginning of the last century for cleaning all metals easily and without damaging them.
Traces of oxidation on your brass decoration?

Shake the can well, a little Miror on a corner of a clean cloth, rub.
The cloth turns black? This is normal, remember to protect the surfaces you are cleaning on!
Rub, insist on the stained areas then wipe with a clean, soft cloth so that it regains a uniform and shiny surface. That's it!
Are your brass leaves losing their shine?

The exercise is the same with a little more patience and attention to detail...
I use cotton buds (biodegradable bamboo is always better) for delicate leaves. Don't press too hard so as not to deform the branch.

There are of course other tricks: ketchup, Marseille soap or even Coca-Cola... but less quick and effective in my opinion.
Please feel free to share your experiences and opinions with me.
Good cleaning! and you can obviously let time do its work, the patina can also have its charm 😉
